Batáo
A League of Legends inspired Horror creature | 2023
![](assets/images/image03.jpg?v=6e5c4887)
Batáo is an attempt to create a Horror creature in the style of the popular video game League of Legends. My responsibilities included creating a signature sound for the character in line with its appearance and backstory and reflect its core characteristics in voice lines, a theme song and sound effects for its various attack abilities. The voice lines were recorded with four voice actors in order to add an uncanny vibe to Batáo's way of speaking. Their performances were also used as part of the sound effects to the same purpose. I produced the theme song with various plug-ins as well as samples, voice recordings and a cello recording from a session at my university's studio. Furthermore, I mixed and mastered the song.Eventually my team put together an Unreal Engine project - complete with a playable character- to which I added an adaptive environmental soundscape, the sound effects and voice lines. A sample of the finished product and the process is shown in the trailer below.
Aurora Everlasting
Audio drama | 2020-2021
Aurora Everlasting is a cosmic horror audio drama I created during the Covid-19 pandemic. Over the course of a year I wrote and directed 16 episodes with over 20 voice actors involved. It has accumulated more than 2800 listeners on Spotify alone. While I was involved in every aspect of the project - production, writing, editing, marketing - at one point or another, sound design and quality were always my main focus. Nevertheless, working on Aurora Everlasting was an opportunity to improve not only those technical skills, but also learn important lessons in project management and teamwork. Additionally, I got to improve my ability to work with voice actors of widely different experience levels - a skill which so far proved to be beneficial to all my following projects.
to fester / to grow
Scored poetry | 2021-2022
![](assets/images/image04.jpg?v=6e5c4887)
To fester / to grow is a collection of seven poems performed by voice actors and accompanied by cello, piano and guitar. I originally created this project for a university assignment but ended up expanding on it.I coordinated with writers, voice actors and musicians to create a shared vision for all seven pieces, managing a group of about 15 people. For about a month we recorded all parts - remotely and at my university's studio - until I got to editing, mixing and mastering the songs.
